.....Once an experience is integrated into long-term memory, it cannot be deleted from memory. It's "lost" only in the sense that it is hard to "recall" or find.
A memory is integrated into long-term memory once you think about it while it's in short-term memory. The more you think about it and the more different ways you think about it, the more "hooks" the memory will have for recall.
Each time you experience the memory, it will be in a new context of thought, which very well could change the memory. So a memory may change or evolve over time. So yes, in a sense, the memory is "false" because probably it's not only incomplete, but it has been revised over time.

This can be a tricky question to answer.
On the one hand, memories can be retrieved through the use of hypnotism.
On the other hand, memories retrieved using hypnotism may not be used in a court of law.
False memories are a problem. Much of the research done in this area was done by Elizabeth Loftus, Ph. D., of the University of California in Irvine.

except you backed them on your workstation or downloaded them on the internet to a image provider (like shutterfly) they are long previous. If different human beings have been on the events that are on your digicam, you may desire to touch them so which you a minimum of have some photos. i understand you're disillusioned, yet chalk it as much as a lesson discovered. upload your photos onto your workstation appropriate once you're taking them, then additionally positioned them on a internet site (shutterfly/snapfish) as a secondary backup.

Our memories are very malleable. They change with time.
So even a memory that we 'recall' later is suspect.
