Why are governments hiding about Aliens?

After seeing movies and reading books I am strongly convinced that we are just not told something that is known and that is there. I know that government probably know that aliens exist or leastthey know more that they tell us. I am wondering why,why,why? What is the reason for which we are not told the truth?

Look how the press handled (Princess) Diana dying and the chaos that caused - then imagine if someone provided prove positive there were aliens. It would be mayhem.

People believe what they see in the movies and they would think the end was nigh, or it would be going on a rampage of destruction.

I am a multiple abductee.. They have been taking me for 42 years.. So I can tell you unequivocally, categorically that they exist... They are not humans working for some Government dept. or Demons, they are Aliens in the true sense of the word... There are 3 different races that are visiting us to my knowledge, and they all have different agenda's.... The "Greys" are usually the abductors, but not always...

Let's ponder this for a moment.....
If you could ask an ET 3 questions, what would they be ??
Would one of them be about religion ??

All the religious people's of the world would find that they have no God.. Everything that they have believed in, is a crock of sh!t... How quickly do you think Governments of the world would lose control of the masses ???

You see the Governments want us right where we are, and there is too much money in organised mainstream religion..

But they can't ignore the millions of people who have been abducted in the last 50 or so years... Hopefully soon it will out in the open, but I fear I will never see it...

I was first taken at 8 years old and since that night I have not believed in mainstream religion...
I became enlightened, and it is still as clear to me now 42 years later as it was that morning when I woke up... I went and told my mother that I didn't believe in God anymore and refused to go to Sunday School....

Think about it. The government is just now cracking down on illegal human aliens from like mexico or the phillipines and sending them back to their countries by the hundreds or thousands daily which is keeping the border patrol busy. But the current government would have no way of transporting aliens form like jupiter ,mars, or venus from earth back to their planets or even aliens from outside the milkyway galaxy to their universe because no human has never set foot on anything but the moon. Also there are government issued green cards for people wanting to come to the United states, but there are no intergalactic green cards.Besides that if the presence of extra terrestrial beings were announced it would cause a panic llike the radio play war of the worlds did in the 1950,s.

I don't buy that "there would be mass panic if we find out about aliens existing" stuff. The only way there'd be mass panic is if Earth was about to be invaded by them. Your average person isn't going to get all worked up about something that won't effect them. If we discovered aliens people would go back to caring more about the Superbowl within a few months.

I could see why something like a successful SETI detection would become classified, but the huge conspiracies the UFO cultists claim... forget it. I don't think they understand how hard it would be to keep something that big under wraps. Our government can't even keep little things like the shady dealings of politicians secret. Somebody would have leaked it long ago.

Look...An official confirmation that UFO might even be a possibility by a government would lead to total chaos.

There would be sects and cult growing under every rock in the land! You need to understand that something like this would make Jesus look like an insect! LIKE AN INSECT!!! If the government said. err.... actually there is something out there, we don't really know what it is... HAVOC!!! We'd have the strong and able men and women, not going to work anymore, looking at the skies!! plotting against the government, joining sects.... Hell, this announcement never happened and we already have Scientology and that suicide sect in japan. AS IT IS???

Mate, i understand where you're coming from, but you need to understand this would grip us all in a way we cannot predict and the governments would not be able to control us.

They will only come forward and say "we have made contact" after they have established what they are and what they want! Everything else would lead to chaos, chaos that wouldn't bring us any closer to them.

That is the right question. I always thought and pondered because of the same reason the government will often do something illegal "POWER". If they are suppressing knowledge from the public, they must be doing something huge and getting an advantage over something i.e. advance technology to gain what? "POWER" and money; somehow, even war! I do know for a fact that thinking that we are the sole entity in the universe is awfully ridiculous, arrogant and hard to swallow. Final thought- Remember, It used to be thought that the planet was flat.

Anyone who believes in UFO's are nut jobs. The Government uses UFO's to cover up testing of new weapons and aircraft. It's obviously working since Uncle Sam has convinced 50% of the populous that Aliens are real...well 50% of the stupid populous that is.

Here is the truth then. We know from space probes etc that there are no planets in our solar system which have any reasonable chance of supporting life that is sufficiently evolved to be able to travel in space. Light travels at 186.000 miles a second and it takes a beam of light 4.5 years to reach earth from the nearest star to our sun. While it is possible under very special circumstances to exceed the speed of light no life form that we could conceive of could travel at that speed or anything approaching it and survive. In other words the chances of any alien that is capable of space travel reaching earth is so remote that it is not worth considering. So while the government probably do know more than they are telling there is no chance that what they know is anything to do with aliens from outer space. What you see in films and TV programs is just fiction with no basis in fact.

Here we go again. Someone reads a book by a mumbo-jumbo author, and it`s` Area 51 time` once more ! Logic leaps out the window whenever bad science is put to paper. IF there was any proof, it would be making money, IF there was any advanced technology,it WOULD be used, if there were any facts, it would be making true headlines not appearing in rubbishy ` Alien` novels. Of course they exist. I mean space is infinity, HOW could we possibly be the only living creatures. There are millions and millions of Galaxy's out there that we know nothing about. I think that the government is keeping this information from us because they want to study the aliens and learn hoe to use them against out governments enemies.
