Because there is passionate disagreement in the way this country is being run.

Also, the current political state of affairs has led to a polarizing of the country. Spin doctors have made things an all or nothing proposal.

If you are against the war, then you must be a spineless liberal draft dodger who doesn't believe in god or family values.

If you are for the war, then you must be a baby-eating, elitist, poor-hating, backwards Christian bumpkin.

While these stereotypes can be pretty accurate, they are not the general rule in most cases. If anything, the most recent elections was to toss some of the extremists out of office.

Bottom line: The more we bicker with each other about petty things, the easier it is for the real villains to erode our freedoms and remove power from our hands.

The question should be.
Why do some Americans act this way.

Not all Americans sound or bitter and inflammatory, there are always exceptions, like me for one.

Have a good day.

It's a symptom of helplessness - when the government stops listening to the people, they become frustrated. Despite the overwhelming poll numbers, neither party will stop the war, neither party will stop the illegal immigration, and we're realizing that, without representation, we have to eat what they're serving. It could be funny, I suppose, or we could all despair - but bitter and inflammatory statements are the more uniquely American reaction.

Only about 40% of Americans actually care about politics the rest just go on with their lives until some thing directly affects them, then they care. The people who normallay post here, post because they have some thing to say. They all have strong opinions and are normally not well informed. It's not their faults, most information is just not readily assessable in America.

Because the American leaders have inflicted disease upon the people as they fail to hear ANY of them! NO ONE is being heard, we're ALL being deprived, and we're ALL mad as HELL because of it! We come here to Yahoo Answers feverishly like animals thirsting for a drop of water...ready to collapse at any given moment. The sheer reminder of our OWN pain from another, causes us to lash out at others with intense, disordered, and destructive rage. The attacks themselves are as the relief the animal feels when he has finally found his drop of water, and he devours it in madness only to continue on to the next victim, who will surely fall easily to give him another taste! Surely, we are ALL dying from the same disease and in its truest form, it is maddening, and feels to be HELL itself...and sadly, this disease is so far gone, that the American people have forgotten from whence it ever came.

Because we do not have A GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. Both parties are corrupt and the money from special interests is their guiding light. Neither party gives a rat's azz about the people. It's all about greasing their pockets and establishing relationships for their own personal gain.

I try not to because generally I am a pretty optimistic person. I often attempt to educate even the posters who are simply trolling with the questions they post.
