why will the resistance of a wire be slightly different immediately after you have held it in your hand?

The electrical resistance of metals increases with temperature. This in an important issue with electronics because the current itself causes the temperature to increase via Ohmic heating.

the resistance of the wire could be altered by moisture from your hand contacting the wire. However, as something heats up, its resistance increases too, so if your hand warms the wire, the resistance might increase

The heat from your hands expands the elements within the copper. Therefore changing the resistance because of the path the electrons has been affected.
However, this change is very minute.

The heat from your hand has warmed the wire and caused it's resistance to increace slightly.

mostly because elec travels on the outside of the wire wear you put your hand you leave matter from your hand which changes the Resistance
