All views are welcomed and respected. I am writing a cultural analysis paper on this artifact and would like to know some views and thoughts on it.

Thank you for your time.

The symbol is upside down. It represents the Chakra or seven spiritual symbols of the human body. Purple should be at the top.
It also are the colors of the rainbow.

This flag or atrifact as you call it means two things to me.
1st it means a coalition of like minded people from many different groups.
2nd it is a symbol of gay pride and self identity.

a rainbow is a diversity of colors all enter-twined into each other.... it shows differences working together in a united sort of way.

rainbow= gay,lesbian, bi, trans

black and white= closed minded hetero not open to diversity

i do not mind having this symbol as a noticeable part of my culture... i think it's positive

Where I live there are alot of gay people who have symbols like this on their cars, and flags at their houses like that......so I assume it would mean gay pride.

Immense pride. When I see the rainbow (or bi flag) flag outside a store, pub or business I feel safe.

I only know it as being the "gay pride" flag. All the colors represent something gay.... I think.
