There was this French guy in the 50's , Jacques Tati , a hugely talented comedian ..
Arte TV channel showed a film of his , where he plays an easy going uncle character & his brother runs this company & owns a hi-tech house etc
I only saw it by chance & unfortunately cannot say what the film was called ..
But if you are a fan of old school comedy this is for you..
You'll see where the late ( & very great ) Peter Sellars got all his ideas for Inspector Clouseux from.
Another film that has me laughing every time I see it is
the remake of 'The Birdcage'
Robin Williams & Nathan Lane ..a classic pairing.

The funniest "part" of a movie - from Bruce Almighty, when Jim Carrey is supposed to be making the announcer sound crazy, make noises and say things outrageous things. Seriously. It makes me cry!
And I liked Gods Must Be Crazy. That's an old one, and it starts out so odd. It's full of slapstick (not 3 Stoodges-like) and is just plain goofy.
Airplane, too, is a favorite. It doesn't have me laughing hysterically, but there's always something to catch when you watch it again. (There's no parking in the red zone. Surely, you knew that.)

"My Favorite Year" with Peter O'toole, Mark Linn Baker, Jessica Harper, and Joseph Bologna. This is taken from a bit of TV history. In the mid fifties Errol Flynn guest starred on the Show of Shows. It was Mel Brooks responsibility to make sure that Mr. Flynn show up for the live show on time and sober. Woody Allen was also writing for the show. Funny.

The Jacques Tati movie is called "Mon Oncle" [My Uncle] and is a classic.
"Blazing Saddles" has to be one of the funniest.
Also "Hannah and her sisters" by Woody Allen.
There's a very funny Australian movie starring Sam Neill called "Death in Brunswick".
Recently I saw a tongue-in-cheek German movie about The Seven Dwarfs. It's for adults, but kids could watch it safely. It had great music too - hilarious!
