Kim, whomever is feeding you this information, you need to avoid, pronto; your statement reflects badly on you, your family and the party you are affiliated with.

You seem to be too nice a girl to intentionally misbehave like this.

You're so funny. The stuff you say is so off-the-wall and divorced from reality, I can only assume its some sort of comedy routine.

Liberals, of course, are not Communists. Liberals believe that everyone should have the same opportunities to get ahead and prosper. They don't believe (At least the vast majority of them don't) that people who don't even bother to try should be given hand-outs. They also don't believe in redistribution of wealth to make everyone equal. Help should be reserved for those who have an actual need. Many liberals do acknowledge the basic unfairness that allows a small percentage of people to control a vast percentage of the wealth, and to control the means to access that wealth, thereby shutting out many people who might otherwise be able to get ahead. Liberals also acknowledge that people should pay their fair share, and that means that those who have the most should have to pay the most, rather than the burden being borne by the middle class, helping ensure that they do not become upper class. That belief system isn't communism, that's America.

Communism is anti-liberalism and anti-democratic. It is impossible to be a communist and a liberal democrat at the same time.

I would argue that in theory communism works. In theory dictatorships work. In practice neither of them do, people are too corrupt to be trusted with so much power.

If however you are saying that anyone who is a socialist is therefore a communist you are guilty of a grave misjudgement. Socialists are no more communist that conservatives are all fascists. The two are very different ideas and can be entirely seperate.

Democrats do no longer prefer Communism. they might care much less what form it relatively is. they only prefer votes and potential. they haven't any plan or path different than "substitute", and carry taxes, so as that they cater to those that wish greater freebies from the government, and to those that prefer the government to deal with each and every little thing as long because it relatively is their way of questioning. I for one would be happy while they come back in potential. i'm retired so i do no longer could artwork anymore, and that i'm relatively bored with an excellent variety of those terrible issues Bush has led to like wars, hurricanes, fat little ones, uneducated little ones, unfavourable people, bridges falling, Islamic terrorists, Rouge countries, gas expenses, international Warming. i'm going to be happy it is going to all be long previous and each physique would be happy. No interest, yet happy besides because of the fact CNN and Nancy suggested so. it will be dazzling.

They are not defenders of communism nor are they socialists.
Modern American liberals are democratic capitalists. That is, they believe that private capitalist individuals should own and control the means of production, as long as they operate within the democratic law. By contrast, socialists believe that everyone should own and control the means of production. Socialism has been proposed in many forms. Perhaps the most popular form is social democracy, in which workers vote for their supervisors, company policy, and industry representatives to regional or national congresses. Another form of socialism is anarcho-socialism, in which employee-owned firms would compete or cooperate on the free market, absent any centralized government at all. As you can see, a central planning committee is not a necessary feature of socialism; only worker ownership of production is. Dictatorships can never be socialist, because workers do not own or control anything when a ruling elite is telling them what to do. For this reason, socialists reject the claim (made by the Soviet Union itself) that the Soviet Union was a socialist country. It was instead a brutal dictatorship over workers.

Since when are "liberals" defending "Communism"? Since when did "conservatives" become the "New World Order"? I listen to both sides of the aisle, but I do not support partisan rhetoric. I have friends that are both "liberal" and "conservative", but I do not know a "liberal" that defends "Communism" or a "conservative" that defends "the Nazis" in my group of friends. Americans need to stop talking about topics that "divide" or label group of people and start talking about things that will "unite" America together. REMEMBER: UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!!

because communism is a great idea- its just putting it to use that causes a problem.
if there was a way to have communism work without taking away people's rights, it would be ones of the best political philosophies out there.
but sadly you can't mix communism and freedom

kim- why don't you accept e-mail? why are you so tough on this board but so scared to have people confront you?
I think you insult others because you have no faith in yourself. I pity you

Well for the most part, liberals ALWAYS have money, & if communism, or even the terrorists came to our shores, they would have the bucks to hop a plane & take off. Then if the problem followed them, they would hop a plane again........

Because they have NEVER lived in a real communist situation other than while they were growing up at home with a mom and dad. If they had ever actually lived it, they would be falling off that cliff with the rest of them.
