Gauging by what you have so far, you might like some 70's songs written by these singers/songwriters: Jackson Browne, Leonard Cohan, Rickie Lee Jones, Carole King,Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Randy Newman, Carly Simon, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Gordon Lightfoot, Don McLean and John Denver.

I wish I had the time to reccommend some songs. I suggest you try to All Music Guide web site and you'll be able to find the songs associated with these singers/songwriters

Four Canadians are among the best singer/ songwriters of the late 60's and the early 70's when music, art, literature, fashion, and other things mattered Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen and Gordon Lightfoot My picks for the American heavy hitters are Paul Simon, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Cat Stevens, Carole King and of course, Bob Dylan just kept writing excellent material. I like a lot of David Crosby's tunes. Not to mention these greats, Randy Newman, Ry Cooder, Tom Waits and Harry Nilson.

The top singer of the 70's was Karen Carpenter. Her voice will never be surpassed in it's perfection. She was one of the #1 singers of the entire decade.

And yes, John Denver was one of the best songwriters of the 70's.
