I have fun at school, but some other people don't. Why?

I think school can be boring when you aren't challenged enough. For instance, the school I went to for grades 7 and 8 was really bad. We were reading grade 4 books in 8th grade! I was bored to tears the whole time, because I didn't learn a thing.

On the other hand, some people are bored because what they are learning isn't interesting to them. Someone who likes art, films, theater, etc. will be bored with math and history classes. Also, these days a lot of teachers are teaching to the test. They try to train students to do well on standardized tests, instead of making the learning fun and engaging.

From my own perspective and experience, school was boring when I would "get it" but many others wouldn't so the teacher had to repeat it over and go slow for the people who weren't so bright. I was ready to go on and assimilate more information but had to wait for many others to "get it" (which they sometimes just didn't ever). That is what was boring for me.

Some people think school is boring because they're just lazy. They don't like to work. they just like to get out of school and be lazy, do whatever they want. Some people like school because they see all their friends and learn. They also like school because they get away from younger or older siblings.
