I am remembering my grandfathers who both died of lung cancer and both served in the Korean War.

I also remember my husbands brother who died tragically at age 25.

Who are you thinking about today?

I thought about both of my grandfathers - one fought in WWII and the other fought in Pearl Harbor.

The real reason I'm posting this question is because you may remember that I tried answering another one of your questions and asked you to provide more detail (it was the one about copying a file into the system folder). Since you're only allowed to answer each question once, I couldn't post another reply to the question, so I'm doing it here.

There are a few ways to copy the folder into your windows/system folder - you can copy and paste or drop and drag. First, to copy and paste, right click the file and select "Copy." Then double click/open My Computer (should be on your desktop and/or Start menu). Next, double-click/open your C Drive (also called "Local Disc" on my computer) - then double click the Windows folder. You'll next get a message that warns you not to delete tamper with the files because they're essential to the running of your computer - select "see files anyway" or whatever you need to do to view the contents of the folder. You next need to look for the System folder (not System32) - after you've double clicked/opened the System folder, right click a blank area of the folder (where there is not an icon/file) and then select Paste. If you decide that you don't want it in your System folder, then just skip the System folder step, but copy and paste it the same way. I'm guessing that someone suggested you copy it there so that it wouldn't accidentally be deleted.

After reading all of that, I'm sure you don't need a second option, but if you like, read on. Open My Computer/C Drive/Windows Folder/System Folder (if you so choose) - then in the upper right-hand corner, click the middle button (it's got two overlapping squares). You want to click this so that the window doesn't take up the entire screen - if it takes up the entire screen, you just click it again to minimize it. (You want to be able to see your desktop so that's why you don't want the window to take up the entire screen.) Then just select the file from your desktop (hold the left-click button) and drag it over to the Windows/System file.

If for some reason the window goes away when you click on your desktop, drag the file down to the toolbar (over the window) and the window should open again - then just drop it into place.

Sorry for the long read, but I hope it helps.

Yesterday, I wanted to go visit my dad's grave, but did not get the chance. Why? Because I got caught up in the enjoyment of being with my wife and child. My little girl was playing in her pool and we were enjoying the moment. I also needed to help my wife with a little housework while she tended with our daughter and put her down for a nap.

Did all this make me forget about the idea of what Memorial Day is about? No. I am reminded by what is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. I not only honor those men and women who have died in past wars this country has fought for freedom, but also the individuals fighting now for not just us, but also for the very people that are now beginning to enjoy the freedoms we tend to take for granted.

Not since the War of 1812 has any battles against foreign invaders been fought in this country (excluding the Civil War). Then on September 11th of 2001, all that changed. 17 men bent on death and destruction flew three of the four hijacked planes into 3 buildings killing all onboard and most in the vicinity of the crashes. Our American military personnel understand the gravity of their situation in those countries. We also should remember that terrorist show no love for anyone except for their leader and follow blindly while making themselves human bombs.

This war that the mainstream media has so conveniently to show the number of American deaths as failures also conveniently forgets to report the many successes our military has accomplished; like the right vote without being threatened or the women being allowed to get an education without being stoned to death. These Islamic extremist who are fighting not just our military, but also the newly elected government and people who support us being there are bent on destroying newly found freedoms and creating their own totalitarian state.

I honor those who not only have died protecting or securing freedom for us and other countries. I also honor those continuing the fight for that reason and those who survived our past wars to have families and continue that tradition of military service.

My brother who died 5 months ago.
Our soldiers who have given their lives for our freedom.
My grandparents.
I can't help but be thankful that my son served in Iraq and came home. But there is always the chance he could be called back.
I am thinking about the families whose soldier did not return and wishing them peace.

I'm remembering my grandfather and my uncles ( on my mother's side) They were career army men. They spent their whole lives in service to this country. I'm also thinking of my niece's husband who just shipped off to Iraq last week.
