Hmmm...This one does give me pause.
Like you I use some of the things you mention from time to time. I like they way I look with these"fake" things. Yet I do not think they make me fake.
Is real tanning somehow better than fake tanning. Both change the appearance of your skin. Or is pale skin the only real skin?
And Shoes - one of my presonal soft spots. If I choose to wear something on my feet, can't it be stylish? Of should we all wear bland loafers?
I do not think that these things make me or anyone fake. I am still the same person - just a better looking one. And we all do somthing to look better - even if its just showering and combing our hair!
I think people who are fake when they use these things were somehow fake to begin with.
Now women who get breast implants, we know those are fake!

Everybody tries to look a little different then what you are. A lot of people fax tan. My sister in law does her legs so she doesn't have to wear stockings. Most women wear hi heals. some hair extensions. Push up bra's when you are going out. Same with nails and eyelashes. I think the problem of being "fake" is if you do ALL of this. Then it's just plain silly! If you want long hair, take care of it and let in grow, same with your nails. Mascara can do wonders for lashes with out going overboard, You don't need push up bras to look good. It's all a matter of degree.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If people have a nasty personality it doesnt matter how they look or take care of themself. If people want to try something different to appeal to their taste, so be it. People do things 'fake' everyday if thats the case, it depends on how secure they are with themself - and to try different looks - is not fake.

No,fake things just things and it is easy to recognize them. Fake people much much worse.Makeup simple thing somebody just want to be more beautiful it is not big deal personally i never use it.

Just because you look a certain way doesn't mean you act it. The people who would say you're fake just judge too quickly, and if they really knew you, you're probably not fake at all.
