There's this one book called "Bastard Out Of Carolina" and there is a movie based on the book. Also called "Bastard Out Of Carolina".

My friend told me the book and movie is very touching and very very good and that I should read it and watch the movie.
I just wanted to know, have you ever watched the movie and what do you think of it?

What's it about? What was your favorite scene?

I have seen the movie, but I did not read the book. I think that the movie was pretty disturbing. The little girl--Bone--had a really messed up life. I loved the part where she is singing with her Aunt (who is dying of cancer) and the part where the court house burns down (along with Bone's birth certificate that proved that she was a "bastard").

I read the book (this is an ooold one!) For my nickel it was just a bodice-ripper. (Melodrama) See the movie first. If it seems worth it, then there will be more story to be had in the book.
