A debate amongst my friends and I, I was wondering the other opinions out there. Should you get married after you graduate from College (with a BA or BS) and before you go to graduate school or wait until after graduate school and before you get a job or after you have been working for awhile? Tricky I know, I hope you understand the little bits.

Marry:
Before Graduate School
After Graduate School but before beginning "new" job with whatever degree
After working for awhile

I understand the whole "when you're ready for it" but there are circumstances where you might b ready for marriage but certain things (i.e. education, location, employment) might get in the way, which is why I asked the question. But thanks everyone else who answered.

Hello, I will awnser this with the rest of your life in mind ! For now focus on your education. Then focus on your career,"job". After doing those find someone who is likeminded to marry ! Life is all about priorities. So we need to finish one job before begining the next. I"ll be praying for you.

You get married when:

1. You are legally allowed to do so
2. Emotionally and psychologically mature enough to deal with the responsibilities of marriage
3. Can function independently
4. Have a good job or the skills/education to get a good job
5. Have acquired the relationship skills necessary to smooth over the inevitable disputes that arise during a marriage.

Your age and educational attainment are meaningless.

You should marry when you feel that you are ready. What does it matter where you are in school or your career?
