Most people say sidearm curveballs and sliders are the most strenuous pitch on a person's arm.

Well, I've thrown basically from every arm slot known to man in my lifetime...and some known to apes...

But when I throw a sidearm curveball, it seems to be the easiest pitch I have on my arm.

Is it just because I've thrown sidearm for some time now(about 10 years)? Because I can't convince my coaches that it's easy on my arm, they all usually limit me to about 10-15 curveballs a game, and I'd have to say it's probably my "money pitch", along with an overhead fastball to throw batters for a loop.

*forgot to mention.
Yeah, I throw all my pitches from both slots on occasion.
I just have the preference of sidearm.

Any pitch with a sidearm delivery is better than any overhand pitch for your arm. Your arm is not built to withstand throwing from an overhand delivery, it is not natural. When young kids are still growing and experiment with overhand curveballs, this is when they get themselves in trouble. The problem is that most pitches delivered from the overhand position are more effective because they will have a downward motion while the sidearm delivery can leave the pitch hanging in the strike zone which is better for the hitter. If you are one of the few that can throw sidearm and get some movement on the ball than continue to work with those pitches.

just a quick tip. If you throw a curve sidearm and fastball overhead, the batter can pick up on what you will throw next. Try and see if you can do both overhead or sidearm.

i wouldnt say natural, in fact definitely not. they say that throwing overhand is unnatural in itself, and curveballs also unnatural. softball pitchers have the most natural arm movement, so i guess sidearm might be more natural than overhand but less than underhand.
