Anytime a computer, which was working fine before, suddenly slowing down to a crawl, there are a number of usual suspects:
1. Did you recently install new software? Internet security suites and office suites are notorious for being resource hogs. Uninstall the software and perform a system restore.
2. Did you add any new hardware? If you added a new piece of hardware (e.g. printer), Windows might have conflicts with the hardware which causes it freeze Disconnect the hardware and try to start up again
3. Could your computer be infected? This is a common cause of sudden computer slowdown. If you use file sharing software, download programs or files from a new website(s), received an unexpected e-mail message..and other then there is a good chance your computer is infected. If you already have an antivirus and anti spyware program installed, run a scan and quarantine any suspicious files. If you don't have any then now is a good time to install one. Go to www.filehippo.com for free security software (i.e look under antivirus and anti spyware).

Sounds like you infected with a virus or spyware, if it was running fine yesterday. Run your virus protection and spyware.
Just whatever you do, do not run a system restore, as that will backup the virus. It would be better to turn system restore off, until the virus has been removed.

Try defragining it. I cant spelll very good but yeah try doing that maybe 3 or 4 times and it should start running normally. It also can depend on how old your computer is.

do you clean out temp files, java console, diskclean? Run a few spyware programs? If you clean your files regularly, more that once a week, then it sounds like it may be spyware.
there is advantage windows program at www.iobot.com. I use that and it really speeds things up. checks spyware, registry, optimizes speed and so much more

try defragmenting it. Should normally be done on a weekly basis. If you have installed new games or anything like that, you are best to defragment to prevent the computer slowing down.
