i wouldn't be in a relationship if I didn't truly love the guy...it wouldn't be fair to him, and to me.

I guess it would be safe to assume that I'm not in love with the person I'm already in a relationship with, if I'm going after the one I love. So if that were the case then yes, I would.

If the conditions were right, maybe. But the first person I need to love is me. And disrepecting my own decisions in life aren't a very good way to show love for myself.
It would also be difficult for anyone to ever trust you again knowing that the first thing you are going to do at the sign of trouble is find someone else.

If you are already in a relationship, going for somebody else would hurt your current partner's feelings (husband, boyfriend, whatever). You wouldn't like it if somebody did this to you.
So, definitely no. Love for yourself comes first, and breaking moral rules weakens your self-respect.
And please do not confuse love with other, lower feelings such as infatuation, sexual attraction, flattered ego- those are short-lived sensations, not true love. They ultimately make you a worse, weaker, narcissitic person (not better)
I hope your true love is the person who has a relationship with you now.

gee, I would think if I am already in a relationship then I wouldn't notice someone else. who knows, life gets in the way sometimes.

if i was in a relationship, yes I'd go after her;however, in my case she's in the relationship and no matter how many times i persue her i get shot down.
