If you were one of those troops that were fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq and you are a huge football(soccer) fan from any team and you had no idea what was going on in the outside world. And you figure out your favorite team has won the premier league after some yrs of waiting. How would u feel?

I also want to take this time to thank the troops and the soldiers that have lost their lifes in battle in this Memorial day and that died defending our beautiful country of ours . Not only our country but all the countries in this war we all oppose

I was deployed to Iraq and was there from the beginning of October 05 to the end of September of 06. If my favorite team had won the premier league after some years of waiting I'd be sad that I missed it but I would have had a job to do and my life depended upon me doing it well and I would be focused on that but in the back of my mind I'd be thinking about what I was missing back home. Oh well. You can't do anything about that really. While I was in Iraq, DC United was just 1 win away from playing for the cup but they lost 1-0. It was an exciting season for them and I missed nearly all of it. I can't do anything about that other than to accept it and move on. Luckily for me I was able to watch TV sometimes and I had internet access to where I was living so I was able to find out what I was missing while I was away from home. I followed the World Cup on my laptop computer. I wasn't able to watch the games live on it by I did follow them by watching live play by play match trackers. I couln't get out much to watch a match on TV. Oh well. Hopefully I'll be home for the 2010 World Cup. I'd also like to thank my fellow soldiers who gave their lives in battle. I like to say thank you to them and I'd also like to thank you for your support. It is really appreciated. Thank you.

I would feel really good, probably since there are not that many good things to feel about when you're fighting in a war. That would probably make some of the soldiers- soccer fans fell a little uplifted. By the way i truly oppose the war and i hope the troops come back home soon!

Well i'd be really happy. But on the other hand, i'd try focusing on the most important thing-surviving! It would definitely lift me up a bit, lighten the stress I would feel as a soldier but I wouldn't want to feel less concentrated on my mission.

Thank you for your words! I am most positive all troops fighting for our country would feel proud of a person like you. God Bless America, our troops and the rest of the world...

what a lovely question. l really don't know how l would feel coz how much l tried to put my self in that person's place, l still could'nt feel what they have felt. but what is best is to finish war and put instead of it world peace coz we're not actually gaing anything other than ruins and death and bloodshed from war. would'nt the world be a better place if there was world peace every where?

Well, first of all I would be really pissed that so many countries hate this beautiful country of ours and second, I would never go to battle, cavalry or not. Of course, this is all conditional, right, and so by staying here I'm not missing a beat, thank you.

I've thought like that too. I keep thinking if I just went 10 yrs. in the future and see what tournaments Chivas and Mexico have won.
