depends on its motherboard. Yes, you NEED more ramm. Turn it off, Open it up take out one chip. take it to your retailer and they will get you some more. RAMM is unbelievably cheap right now. Get as much as your board will handle, up to about 3g

there will be a physical limit - look at the specs
there will be a practical limit
If the laptop has two ram slots this is better
Some laptop to save space only have one slot.
People upgrade and the previous standard ram sticks are cheap as 1/2 users don't want them
You can find 256 mb sticks now cheaply
Guess soon it will 512 mb sodimms

It varies from laptop to laptop because they are all made differently. But most for the P4 era with take a full GB of ram.

As Harrison stated, get the max your notebook will support. The prices are pretty sweet meaning it's cost effective to go all out.

512 ram is adequate for many of today's video games(different than for battlefield 2 and particular others) even even though it wont harm to enhance. the 6600gt is a large photos card. i might get the 6600gt. yet i'm no longer a specialist at this so it truly is recommended to to take different solutions into consideration
