I believe in Fate. I believe that everything happens for a reason. To me there are no coincidences. People enter our lives for a purpose and no matter what that person as done to you or if that person was only in your life for a day, that person was there for your benefit. For example, lets say a man or woman enter your life and destroy it. That man or woman was actually in your life to make you a wiser person. Why? Because if you analyze the situation then you know now what to look out for when dealing with people. Some people ignore the lessons that the universe is trying to teach you. Hence, they blame things on coincidences instead of realizing that everything that happens is suppose to happen. Good or Bad.

People around me have been both amused and aghast at the news that on 9-11 the New York State Lottery's evening number game popped up the numbers 9-1-1. Is this a paranormal happening? A wink from God? Is there a message here?

It's hardly the first improbable lottery event. "We print winning numbers in advance!" headlined Oregon's Columbian on July 3, 2000. State lottery officials were incredulous when the newspaper announced their 6-8-5-5 winning Pick 4 numbers for June 28 in advance. Actually, the Columbian's computers had crashed. In the scramble to re-create a news page, a copyeditor accidently included Virginia's Pick 4 numbers, which were the exact numbers that Oregon was about to draw.

We've all marveled at such coincidences in our own lives. Checking out a photocopy counter from the Hope College library desk, I confused the clerk when giving my six-digit department charge number—which just happened at that moment to be identical to the counter's six-digit number on which the last user had finished. Shortly after my daughter, Laura Myers, bought two pairs of shoes, we were astounded to discover that the two brand names on the boxes were "Laura" and "Myers."

And then there are those remarkable coincidences that, with added digging, have been embellished into really fun stories, such as the familiar Lincoln-Kennedy coincidences (both with seven letters in their last names, elected 100 years apart, assassinated on a Friday while beside their wives, one in Ford's theater, the other in a Ford Motor Co. car, and so forth). We also have enjoyed newspaper accounts of astonishing happenings, such as when twins Lorraine and Levinia Christmas, driving to deliver Christmas presents to each other near Flitcham, England, collided

Once it's coincidence, Twice it's nerve wracking, Third it's enemy action.
All coincidence is omen. A weighted response to non-understandable chaos.. A frieght train through the living room is a sign , that you built in the wrong place. A sneezing butterfly causing a Hurricane is chaos theory, and true. Stay turned.

I think our whole is just one big coincidence. May be when we will rewind it we will see that each and everything that we experienced has a significance in our lives. To give an example: Islam means 'Submit', also when a Muslim does a small thing as ask a question or answer one he is doing his part of submission by pressing the 'Submit' button. What I am trying to say is we can all read into things way too much, and doing so may prove that each and every part plays a role in constructing our lives.

The signs are out there!

Reality shifts point to something more profound at work. Coincidences are a trivial aspect of the larger synchronicity that exists between mind and reality. Our mostly unconscious beliefs about self and the world, control not only our perception of, but our actual experience of reality. We are forced into an awareness of this at moments when events make us 'choose' something - unconsciously avoided before - and the change in our experience of reality is so startling as to be dimensional in nature. We have accidentally 'reconnected' to being - a kind of heart/mind clarity that results in a reality shift. Our 'psychological safety program' is the only thing that tempers our experience of these dimensional shifts.

Correlation does not imply causation.

Random correlation (two events happening related by time) are hard to deal with. We want everything to be statistically significant so when two improbable events occurs we desire that it have some cosmic significance. Sometimes I think it does, but I would understand the critical thought process first.

From Wikipedia:

Correlation does not imply causation is a phrase used in the sciences and statistics to emphasize that correlation between two variables does not imply there is a cause-and-effect relationship between the two. Its converse, correlation implies causation, is a logical fallacy by which two events that occur together are claimed to have a cause-and-effect relationship. It is also known as *** hoc ergo propter hoc (Latin for "with this, therefore because of this") and false cause.

I believe in subtle messages from the universe. Do not laugh it off or call them coincidences. Theyre pretty f-king amazing, when you notice it and take note. Have you heard of synchronicity? heres a link below. Its pretty interesting.

Most coincidences are just that.

However, it is my experience that God permits us to say goodbye to old friends and acquaintances a final time -- such may at times seem like coincidental meetings, but not all are.

Other 'coincidences' happen to people who pray when in some need -- their prayers are answered nearly immediately.

I don't think their merely coincidence. Every happenstance can only occur if the person puts him or herself in a position to be in that time and place. We all direct our own lives and every event in your life is a direct result of your being there at that time.
