There are ideological battles on here that are absurd.

Conservatives: Many of you drag out your opinions without substantiating them or checking your facts. Bringing your religion into a conversation is a really shitty way to make a point, as you are decreasing the objectivity and believability of your assertions. Saying your book of choice said homosexuality is unnatural or a choice does not a good argument make, and denying scientific observations that are generally accepted by the scientific community (e.g. evolution) destroys your credibility. Assert yourselves in a professional manner.

More radical liberals: Please, please, please stop the touchy-feely babbling. It does not make you look credible. Assert yourselves in a professional manner.

Those who say 'Can't we all get along?": Realize that, while bipartisanship is good, it is not always the best approach.

And LEARN TO SPELL. You do not look horribly intelligent if you misspell every other word.

I should add that many radical liberals don't support their assertions either. Everybody should at least check their facts.

Ignorance and lack of original thought. Many parrot the pundits because they fail in thinking for themselves. Both sides.
