i gat this acer aspire 3690 laptop and i cant seem to take pictures it has a camera built in but i cant find where your supposed to start the camera up would it have something to do with my reinstalling windows

I've never heard of a laptop having it's own built in camera.

many notebooks have cameras but they are not as good as ones you purchace. It is good to have them for convenience. There are still a few people who use chatrooms, it's good to get in touch with family and friends overseas and there are alot of whiteboard programs that use them.
I dont use acer, but the most common integrated webcams are built by logitech. Check to see if you have that driver and software on a disk somewhere. If not, ask acer tech support (cough, cough) for help (LOL, help, from acer, LOL).
