Le'Chatelier's Principle : defined by the first person

Reactions always shift AWAY from a species that is added and TOWARDS a species that is removed

You add more you can make more of the "other" side

You remove some and the reaction must make more to compensate for the loss of material

LeChatelier(sic) rule that when equilibrium is disrupted, the reaction proceeds towards trying to re-establish equilibrium.
