I went to traffic court not to long ago, and there were TONS of illegal Mexican immigrants there. Majority of them didn't have a license and no auto insurance. The judge just gave them a fine. The judge asked one guy if he has a license and he replied "no, but in Mexico I do".....the judge got pissed.

I certainly don't plan on breaking the law but your point is well taken. But who's to say that I don't get pulled over for speeding or some minor traffic violation? I travel 45 miles one way to work every day so the odds are that it could happen.

What if, when I appeared in traffic court, I said to the judge "I'm a hard working, law abiding person who does a job not many other Americans will do (I teach in a prison). I know it's against the law to (speed, run a red light, pass on the right, drive without due regard for safety, etc) but because of my otherwise admirable traits, I should be given amnesty?

I say "If you do the crime, you better be willing to do the time!" Suck it up! If you don't want to go to jail, then don't commit crimes.

As for the illegals, they should all be deported. It is discrimination. HOWEVER, I am not agreeing with you. (See above)

You actually think an illegal alien with 3 felonies wouldn't be deported? I doubt that highly.

Illegals get a lot of stuff. The kids get free food at public schools.

heres the counter argument... not that its true:
You get to be an American citizen isn't that good enough. And y ou shouldn't have commetted those crimes in the first place.

In reality its cheeper to get $600 then deport jose.

Go get really dark tan, grow you a beard, and put a towel on your head. You might get off then.

I'm with you all the way, I'm against this reverse discrimination, how about you cross the border and then come back. :)

I say, don't break the law, and there's no need to pay legal fees or do jail time.

It costs more money and we don't have enough prisons to send you or Jose to the same prison
