I mean its not like a tall waterfall. Wouldnt you rather see Angel Falls the highest waterfall in the world at 3,212 feet (1,844 ft taller than World Trade Center) at the Canaima National Park in Venezuela.

It's not the tallest waterfall, but it has the most VOLUME of water falling at one time, as far as I know. Also, a lot more people live closer to Buffalo and Niagra (not to mention it shares borders with Canada), than Venezuela. But yah, I see where you are coming from.

Why Is Niagara Falls Special

Niagara Falls is special because it is a natural phenomenom. If you don't think I am right ask yourself how many huge waterfalls have you seen in your life that are as big or bigger than Niagra falls.

I also found this info:
What makes Niagara so special is that with so many things to see and do you can create your own unique getaway. The majestic Falls are just one of the many attractions of Niagara Falls and the surrounding region. Stroll along the great gorge or take an exhilarating journey behind the Falls. With over 30 golf courses and a picturesque Wine Route, the area is sure to please.

Clearly you have never been there. If you had, you wouldn't even be asking this question. Niagara is special because of the huge power of the falls, something you feel deep within your body without even seeing it.

Venezuela is a third world country, run by a tin pot crazy dictator isn't worth visiting even for the falls.

Given the political spectrum I'm not likely to visit Victoria Falls anytime soon, but I have been to Niagara, and I have mixed feelings about it, as long as you stay close to the falls, its stunning in its raw power and beauty, but the claptrap that man has put up is ugly and intrusive. It must have truly been awe inspiring before man got there, with his ice cream carts and ticket booths. More of it should have been kept pristine, but I guess they didn't care about that back then. A shame.
