I posted a question earlier concerning the RAM. Now, I've looked on the box in which my laptop came (Gateway MX3311b Notebook PC) and on the specification it says for the memory: 512 MB DDR2. I've looked on the internet for larger RAMs but don't seem to have found any. I live in the United Kingdom and if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

This is one of the few cases where more is better. There is no such thing as too much. We have tons of great places to buy ramm here across the pond, prices are at an all time low for us. But shipping and handling and duty will probably kill you. I haven't been back to the "right" side of the atlantic in years so I dont know of any good leads there for you.

These are the important numbers when looking for ram for your particular laptop: "DDR2 PC2-4200" That is the type and the speed. Anything that speed and faster will work.

I am not 100% sure who sells ram like that in the UK but you could try Ebay. Other than that, pretty much any local electronics retailer should have that type of RAM.

you need another DDR2 ram, if there is none that is bigger than 512mb, then get that one, it will add to the one you have and double the ram, if the one you have is 512 as well, which it probably is. There is more than one slot for memory, and if you have 2 memories or more they just add together
