Basically it squishes the breasts flatter again your chest then a regular bra does. Larger women may feel a difference around their underarm area. Its not uncomfortable, but it does give you a different shape, so I recommend if you are looking at purchasing one, that you try different styles of tops over the bra to see if you like how it looks or not.

A minimizing bra is suppose to make you look 1-2 inches smaller.

i'm not sure how they work exactly but they do. i used to be a DDD and wore lilyette minimizers. they weren't the most attractive looking things but at least i could button up my shirts. i think they just distribute the tissue in a different way but honestly i don't know how they make you appear smaller.

Yes and no.

Yes because they help support and squish your breasts, no because they end up making you look like you have a uniboob or four boobs.

They are more stretchy and just fit tighter.
