Say the words, "Never call me again." When I worked in telemarketing, we had to call people back a minimum of 15 times unless or until they said those words.

I tend to mess with them. I do feel bad after wards but the people who work there should know how people feels towards telemarketers.

Since I have caller ID, I just don't pick up anymore.
Once I hung up, and the telemarketer called me back and left a message saying "Oh no you didn't."

Well, they are just "doing" a job that they might not even agree with. I don't get those calls anymore by subscribing to a website called: donotcallmeanymore, but when this wonderful site didn't exist, I would put on an accent and say: sorry no speak english...

Just tell them that the owner of the house is not there for a moment and will be back soon in due time.

Here's what I do when they call. I see the caller I.D. and know it's them, so I take out my flute and play the highest note I can really, really loud on the phone. Then I hang up. makes me feel better. :)

i like messing with them, and scaring them, when i think its a robot i just start cursing into the phone, its even funnier when you find out its not a robot. sometimes when im not in the mood i just say things, my mom tells them we already have what theyre trying to sell, and my dad tells them not to call again.

First, you make friends and have a chat. Because they get paid whether they chat to you or make a sale, believe me theyd rather chat. Then when you say "I am officially requesting you remove me from the list" they are more likely to actually do it.

I tell the truth. The person they are calling passed away, and please make a note of that on their list. They usually do. (And for those who want to know, I'm the caretaker of the estate while it's in probate, and the phone still works.)

and then sream as if there was someone in the ohter room:
"SHUT UP OR I WILL SHOOT YOU IN THE OTHER LEG"
after you finish screaming, they will have surely hung up and never will call again :P
