Just looking through a Portugese newspaper online and it poses the question:

"Justifica-se a recepção do casal McCann por parte do Papa Bento XVI, já que em nenhum outro caso de crianças desaparecidas isso sucedeu?"
[ Is there justification for the McCann couple being received by the Blessed Pope XVI, since this has never occurred in any other cases where children have disapperared"..?]

Poll so far:

Sim/ Yes - 20.5%
Não/No - 65.22%
Nã sei - Don't know - 9.32%
Talvez - Perhaps - 4.97%

Oh the McCann camp forseee a trip to Madrid on Friday and Berlin next Monday:
"para sexta-feira têm prevista uma viagem a Madrid, e na segunda-feira para Berlim"

... because it is highly likely she is going to be in these places isn't it!!!

I think it is time to cut back on all the trips before they lose any more support. At a time like this the public usually rallies to support the parents but these two seem to go out of their way to allienate people.
They seem to have moved to celebrity status as far as the media is concerned. Where was the Papal visit for Ben Needham's mother, Jamie Bulger's parents, Sarah Payne's parents or for the parents of the hundreds, if not thousands, of children that have gone missing both abroad & here in UK?
What makes these two special? The fact is that Madeline would be at home with her siblings right now had her parents not chosen to put themselves before their children & leave them alone, in an inlocked room, in a strange country.
I feel that the public sympathy would not have disappeared quite so soon if either of them had shown any emotion in any of the multitude of TV appearances. They seem so distant & detached that we could be speaking about a missing pair of shoes & not a child.
I am sad to say it, but I truly think she is dead by now.

This argument has been exhausted and an identical questions shop going around and around and not something you have asked hasn't been asked distinctive circumstances in the past. NO physique, so NO homicide NO evidence or they could be accountable and at the back of bars thankfully we don't count on hunches to place people away and accuse them of homicide in simple terms because of the fact they seem to be they have a secret. whilst and if the evidence includes easy to tutor that she replaced into murdered and it replaced into via the mother and dad (yeah precise) THEN carry and quarter them and throw away the main. i do no longer think of the MCcanns are able to fooling each and all the police and investigators that have tried to unravel this concern, or perhaps however there has been plenty interior the click there'll be different issues that would no longer be released via the police for confidentiality motives. no longer each and all the evidence and study effects are made public.

I wonder if they are being helped by escaping any criticism from the media and from the public? Is this healthy?

I hope PR are behind this so that they can get the blame if things go for the worse (which apparently a psychic has said no the child will be given back by a childless couple)?

Is it a good idea to be travelling like this if she is found in Portugal in a different town or she is never found because people will be very critical if she is found and facts of the case emerge and they are having high tea with the Pope?

I was right behind the mcanns until that interview then my heart sank, something is just not right here. I have an eighteen month old daughter and was just trying to get her to sleep in her own room the week of maddies dissapearance but have continued to sleep with her as i am completely paranoid. The mcanns are leaving their other two kids in kids club already, they seem so unaffected, I just cannot relate to them.

Do they have reason to believe that Madeleine is in either Madrid or Berlin?? Funny how they won't leave Portugal to return to England but, they can go on a world cruise without her.

I agree the whole thing is crazy, Madaline was seen by a tourist in Morocco a few days after going missing. If I was the father I would of been on a plane to Morocco. Did anyone follow up this lead?

No there is no justification. Even taking in to account 'shock' there is something wholly unpleasant about the whole Mccann 'circus'. Not being in the least bit religious, I hope? to anybodys' God that the child is found safe and well.

Hiya mate.
The potuguese arnt daft are they? They first reported the McCanns were in a group of big drinkers.
Not throwing stones. I like a drink, but I put mine in club. and in these resorts, its till 11pm. Then I go up to bed with my girls and if me and steve want a drink, we drink it on the balcony.
Also, sorry if boring, but one night, we went to a wonderful bar in Crete, and when we had to leave the regulars said get the kids bring them back so we can meet them! They LOVE kids!

This has gone to far now!! Do they think they are celebrities or royalty? They should be out there looking for their Daughter, who should be their main priority at this time, not swanning around the globe posing for cameras, there is deffo something fishy about this and the sooner it comes out the better, I pray that little girl is safe.
