The PLAYERS UNION is who decided to make the rules more strict. The players union are players from each team who are elected to represent the opinion view of the majority of the NFL players.

So to answer your question, NFL Players do not want thugs on their team, they made the decision to make negative off field behavior have more consequence, not the NFL.

Most NFL players are MATURE adults, thugs are not mature adults.

If you are asking this question you are obviously an immature adult who may or may not one day grow up and see the that it is very annoying having to work with immature, child like adults who for some reason or another refuse to act like an adult...

Its a job. Especially athletes young kids and some adults look up to these athlets as a hero and a person that they want to be like.Growing up I looked up to Joe Montana he was my favorite player ,also derrick thomas.I wore 58 in high school also college. When these thug players set the example that they setting some of these kids think its cool ,when all its doing is destroying your life. I have personally met darryl strawberry he would give anything back to start his life over.

thugs belong in jail...not the NFL
as far as boring...I don't see how so. Jerry Rice, Jim Kelly, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith, John Elway
none of them were thugs but were far from boring to watch.
Maybe the NFL isn't for you

Because of the amount of publicity and money involved. In this country (and most others), pro athletes are treated like celebrities and looked to as role models for children. As wrong as that is, IMO, that is the reality. These spoiled, immature, ridicously wealthy kids need to learn that with the big $$$$, they have to grow up out of there "I'm a thug" stage.

Uh...Spoken like a true thug...Maybe the "thugs" should stay the hell out of the NFL so the players who get paid to play the game can continue to make the game enjoyable...If I wanted to see thugs, I'd come to your neighborhood...

probably because the NFL makes money off of good players..like michael vick...hes in trouble for making his dogs fight...if hes getting in trouble outside of the NFL, then the NFL needs to know about it because they make money off of good players..and the law could ban him from the NFL..

Because despite what you might think about separating work and personal life... pro athletes are still role models that kids look up to and they have a moral obligation to be decent folks.

And personally, if they're muderous thugs, they should be locked up, not playing football.

Actually a lot of workplaces have rules and could fire you for doing a lot of the stupid **** they have been doing. Besides the NFL players are ROLE MODELS whether they like it or not.

The NFL is like any other business. I couldn’t be a criminal on the streets and keep my job as a school teacher.
