I called my service provider for my internet and they have outsource their customer service in India and Philippines. I just got off the phone w/ an Indian operator and our conversation went for almost an hour because he's manner of speaking is totally incomprihensible. Not that I dont appreciate the fact that he helped me solved my issue but I spoke before w/ an operator from Manila Philippines and I can say, they can converse better and speak better than Indians.

Philippines all the way!!! It's really hard to speak with someone from India. I think the Filipino accent is closer to an American accent while the Indian accent is closer to the British accent. It is easier for me to understand Filipinos speaking English. Almost everytime I call an Indian call center need to have them repeat what they have just said. I have nothing against call centers from India it's just difficult to understand them because of accents.

Philippines. Both Indians and Philippinos can be hard to understand, but Philippinos have less of an accent. Also they are nicer, a lot of Indians will get mad at you if you don't understand them or disagree w/ them on something. They will get bitchy with you and say "let me transfer you to my supervisor" then put you on hold for 10 minutes then cut off the line.
The best way around talking with someone from outside of the country is to press "2" (or "7" or whatever) for Spanish. Then, start talking English with them. EVERY time I have done this, they speak perfect English back to me. I asked one girl where she was working out of and she said Chicago. Others have said New York or Texas. For whatever reason they don't outsource those to Spanish-speaking countries but use bilingual people in the U.S. Ironic but it has worked for me every time.

I think I would prefer to speak with a call center representative that was in the Philippines. I believe it would be easier to understand someone from the Philippines than with someone who is from India. I can hardly understand people from India because their accents are so strong and it takes them a while to understand what I'm talking about.

definitely find costumer service better from Filipinas or Filipinos, in general. We share a more common culture and have a similar sense of humour, as well as the accent is a little easier for most North Americans to tolerate. Male customers can flirt a little with Filipinas,and not worry about offending them, whereas with Indians, they are more strict and one can detect they do not appreciate a little flirting over the phone.

whoever speaks better english...i haven't had very good experiences with people in India, but I haven't had a chance to speak with someone from the Philippines yet

I agree with you that sometimes it is hard to understand some of the operators. But I don't think one country's people understand better than the other I think it has to do with each individual person and his or her ability to understand and pronounce the language.

No I use to have sprint and once when I called customer service I was unable to understand the lady and I asked her where she was located cause she had a heavy accent, she stated that she was in the BAHAMAS.....while people in the US needs jobs they are employing people from literally other countries...BASTARDS....lol

neither, those buttmunches called my house at 11pm the other night for my neighbors service. My neighbor listed me as her contact. THe call center was in India, I was like look lady I know you're in a foreign country BUT YOU REALLY NEED to be aware of what time it is where you are calling, I have 2 small kids.
Next morning I went to my neighbor , the next time they call my house that late and if one of my kids wakes up, YOURE coming over to play with them the next 3 hrs !
