yes and Van Gogh, I was hoping for more obscure artists especially from non european countries

I love mystic art like that of Alan Lee and Brian Froud. Arthur Rackham, Edmund Dulac, Kay Nielson, Aubrey Beardsley. Modern book illustrators like Tony DiTerlizzi, Christian Birmingham, Gary Blythe, Nicola Bayley. And I love the Pre-Rapaelites, Klimt and Botticelli. I couldn't choose a favourite, they are all amazing and have their own qualities.

Van Gogh, Manet, Monet--the Impressionists. I am also partial to Murillo. I know some of his figures are a little sweetly sentimental, but he's good in small doses.
Seurat is good--I like pointilism.
And of course, without question, the great Michelangelo! Sculpture, painting or even sketching--his work pulses with life.
There are also many wonderful children's book illustrators that mustn't be ignored. I can't name them here but some of them are wonderful--the text without the pictures is nothing.

Chagall's work is wonderful. I don't have a favourite visual artist, there are too many interesting ones out there.

Jack Vettriano but not his earlier work he does some erotic type of paintings he has a book called Lovers and Strangers with some good paintings in it.
John William Waterhouse, I love his style and I have a print of The lady of Shalott on my wall as I love the poem too.
John Everett Millais - Orphelia Have this print too but have not put it up.
I love Wendy Frouds sculptures of fairys She is wife of Brian Froud he is good too. They have a web site.
I like stained glass but not ones with religious images. I have a tiffany lamp which gives a stained glass type effect.
and best of all I love my sisters illustrations.
