I honestly don't know if the surge is working or not.

But I know for certain that when a politician publicly announces that we have lost the war and his cohorts continue to promote proposals which support a policy of defeat - this, for sure, is not supporting our country or the troops at a time when they are on the front lines and in harms way.

No - they hard core still thinks the war can be won and democracy installed. These people are savages and can be ruled only by a dictator be he religious or not.

No but they are quick to say its getting better.. the people can walk down the street safely - like McCain said yet he was wearing a bullet proof vest and had helicopters flying overhead and had a brigade surrounding him while he walked down the street.
