...allows artists to cuss and swear in their music when they are just going to cut it out and edit it? I mean have you noticed it? In music videos and on the radio, they play the music but edit it.

There are rules and guidelines for radio and tv. Certain words can not be said. They can say whatever they want on their album, if you want to hear it you buy the cd. If not, you buy the clean version. The music industry (in my opinion) has no business telling artists what they can or can't say. If they do, the artists are perfectly capable of going to another company.

The music industry itself could care less if artists cuss, but in order to get airplay, they must meet FCC regulation therefore material is either re-recorded or edited.

The singers don't want to be OPRESSED when they are expressing emotion in their songs. So they cuss. Knowing that the words will be deleted afterwards. The editing by the music industry is NOT THEIR CHOICE. They avoid big fines when they edit.

I've noticed that aswell! they either cut it out or fast forward the part they so called need to sensor a word(s) in a song...

Why don't they Sensor film clips with explicit dancing , booty shaking and hooker like behavour? beats me!! lol
(i know guys dont ever want that to happen) ; )

In the end they will hear it when they buy or download the song(s) of their favorite artist/band(s) Pretty pointless to me but i guess it's to cover the industies asses lol

I don't believe in censorship. But what ever happened to those relatively innocent songs of the 70's and 80's that sang about love?
