I watched part of it but was not impressed, not at all. The book was clean, smooth and powerful. The movie seemed almost overly simplistic, in my opinion. It just didn't capture my imagination. But again, as I said, I didn't watch anything close to the entire thing. I was hoping for a lot more. I'll try to watch it again, but we'll see.

I watched it and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to watch. I know there are some historical inaccuracies and even some things added that were not in the book, but wow, it hit me in my heart. It was like watching a run away train that you knew was going to crash. BUT I think it could have been done way better. 2 hours wasn't even close to the time that's needed to sufficiently tell this tale. This was mostly a summary. HBO needs to try again and do it justice like they did with Band Of Brothers or Rome.
