American, especially California is the center of entertainment industry. We sometimes don't know the difference between reality and a show anymore. Take intro to sociology class, it's very interesting how society shape us through the influence of media.

no longer in user-friendly terms disturbed -- i'm appalled. And, regrettably, i've got not got any sturdy fix for the undertaking. easily, via now, anybody could comprehend that the thought of evolution has hung around for a hundred and fifty years because of the fact it provides superb solutions (even ignoring the certainty that that's now shown to be superb), yet we proceed to work out people claiming no longer in user-friendly terms that evolution would not happen, yet that the earth is in user-friendly terms some thousand years old. The state of medical coaching interior the U. S. is a worldwide laughingstock.

I care to listen simply for the humor value. They are entertaining circus freaks (no disrespect intended to circus freaks) is all. Donald, Angelina, George, etc; all of them were put on this earth simply to entertain us through their dysfunctionality. Their views on the world are worthless. Donald understands world politics. Angelina understands the plight of 3rd world countries. Richard Gere understands Buddhism and the Tibetan situation. Sheryl Crow understands global warming. Jane Fonda understood the Vietnam conflict. Sure.

These people have their talents and should stick to those things. They are not well rounded people. Their brains have limited capacity. That's why it's funny! Their commentary on complex issues is no more or less valuable than an average 10 year old's take on abortion. But far more entertaining.

Movies and TV series have such an impact on us ordinary people and the press also influences us to think that the Hollywood types are so wonderful, marvellous and rich, that we want to be like them.

A lot of people care because they view it as a glamorous life style. And its what the media is showing us. Instead of focusing on real problems or news they focus on the celebrities, like Imus, Rosie and Donald, or Paris Hilton. But we let them because we watch it, and we buy the magazines.

I could care less, most of them are not experts.

Because most of us are either too fat, too skinny, too ugly, too tall, too short, etc.......
They to us seem perfect visually, sound nice, and have MONEY(most of all).
Money is such an important theme in our lives and they seem to have al lthey need so we listen to their ideals and try to learn. But its complete crap.
If they flop we are even more happy to read as we put them on such a high pedestal that if they drop it gives us reason to bee a failure also.

Most people didnt have the perfect parental guidance in life and try to compensate by creating models to idolize from society i.e. celebrities.

They fill our immature need for authority figures, until we mature enough to realise that we are to authorise ourselves in life.
Kids do this the most and adults from broken upbringings who are not stable.

Most mature individuals do not need this.
Its like god worship and even atheists follow celeb idols not realising its the same thing.
These people arent perfect and like watching your parents contradict what they say to you and parading their failures in their faces we strengthen ourselves from their failures because in some twisted way we prove to ourselves that we do not need to be rich to be happy, which allows us to forgive ourselves for not being those fantastic things we hoped we would be as children.
