I would take several pictures of an American Baseball Game and a flag, and then use a computer program to superimpose one over the other.
My favorite American symbols or icons:
American Flag
Apple Pie
Baseball
Betsy Ross
Statue of Liberty
Voting Booth
Lincoln Memorial
Washington Monument
National Cemeteries
Declaration of Independence
U.S. Constitution
Fast Food Restaurants -- McDonalds, Burger King, KFC
White House
National Flower -- Rose
Yellow Ribbons
Dollar Bill or any U.S. Currency
New York Stock Exchange
Brownies, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts
Bald Eagle

It used to be, but it wasn't a symbol for power, it was a ancient Indian symbol for good luck. For the first 15 years of it's existence, members of the American 45th Infantry Division , made up of Native American Indians, proudly wore on their left shoulder,an ancient American Indian symbol for " good luck, " refered to now as a swastika. During the 1930's, after the Nazi's adopted the swastika as their symbol, the 45th switched to the " Thunderbird " for their unit's symbol. Source shows a picture of both symbols used by the 45th, the swastika in 1923, and the Thunderbird in 1939.

"Pike's Peak" in Colorado Springs is quite lovely. Also you could try Hawaii or Alaska, they also have their beauty. I do so love the New York area; the Catskill mountains are extremely beautiful. I think anything such as mountains, water, land would definitely make you a contestant.
You can't get any natural than that!

fireworks
the white house
all those flags on coffins on memorial day
people eating apple pie
big thanksgiving celebrations
new year's celebrations at time's square
the empire state building
an "I (heart) NY" shirt
"support our troops" bumper stickers
An old diner
A bald eagle
Super bowl
MTV/grammies/oscars
Hummer limos
Teen girls yapping on their cell phones (lol)
Susan B. Anthony
Gettysburg
Cowboys
American Indians
McDonald's (although there are many in other countries)
Hamburgers
Also, a cool thing you could do is to overlap all of them and put a bug word in the middle, like Americana or Freedom, etc
Hope i helped out a tad

Apple pie? Baseball? The flag? Mount Rushmore? I'm not sure if that's what you're going for, but there you go.

America has many things to do with their flag, soldiers, baseball, cities, coasts and football. I should know, I was born there.
