you need to be really speficabout the metal you are referring .There are many metals which have different melting points.

Yeah, you have to be super specific.

Lead melts at hundreds of degrees celcius.

Gallium melts in your hand.

I am pretty sure that most metal or at least a car (steel) melts at around 2000F
