I'm 16 and I'd like to start a Facebook account thing. do you think it's appropriate for high-schoolers? Am I too young? And any other advice? Thanks!

Well I have both, I personally think myspace is more fun, but facebook rocks too. I don't think your too young, I have a friend who is 16 and has a facebook and myspace. and other friends who are 14 and 15.

My son has one since age 12. He talks to a lot of kids all over the United States. He is now 16. Just don't go and meet with these people alone. Take your parents along. A food court at the mall is good. They can sit at one table and watch while you wait to meet the other person at another table. If they are an old guy, like me, then mom and dad will come and stop the meeting. No one get's hurt. Both parties walk away.

Well I am 24 and I have both. I think for the younger ages facebook is the best, it is a little more restricted. Younger people who have myspace must be responsible, or at least have responsible parents because things can happen... just be cautious in whatever you do.

if i were you id go the myspace route. but be sure to set it to private so only your friends can see your profile. you have to add someone before they can see it. Facebook is geared for people in college, its supposed to be used for networking. I have both and personally i like myspace way better. its more fun and there is a lot more you can do. you can also customize your page, you can't do that for facebook.

I would go with Facebook, myspace is geared more towards young adults of college age. Best way to decide is to decide with your parents help.
