Well for starters I feel kind of groggy because I just go up and I am staring at my first cup of coffee. I believe you are talking about self awareness with regard to physical and emotional feelings. I tend to listen to my inner self because I am alone most of the time. Emotionally I have been conditioned to a life of celibacy, which can be harsh at times. Physically I have been tested by the boundaries of pain from severe trauma from a recent accident. The pain I have now seems like nothing when it is compared to the pain I had during the first month. Never the less the pain is still there but well hidden with only a few facial expressions and visual swelling associated with an injury of such magnitude. I like to think that I am in control of my feelings but they are part of our personalities which means we may have emotions we do not fully understand.

Eeesh!!

This one is so many questions in one.

1. I never KNOW anything.

2. As for HOW, most of that is nerves and theories on things.

3. And as for how often, I never bothered to count.

However, right now i am feeling like a soda pop, effervescent with a slight chill to make my sugary sweet goodness taste twice as sharp as when I am left open in a room to go flat.

I'm real big on self analysis, self examination, and self awareness. I know ( I think ) that most psychologists are semi-helping people by telling them it's good not to fall into the pit of analyzing ones mistakes and to just go on in life without feeling guilt of past failures. However, I tend to disagree. In fact I think you and I had a cool discussion at one time about using our past experiences as solutions to present problems. You left me with an interesting thought. An "out of the box" thinking that is, in fact, helpful.

I would suggest that many of us go through conflicting emotions throughout the day. How we are really feeling is probably just the emotion that is dominating at that moment.
