Minnesota the age of consent is "less than 16 years" so it is likely that he would not be breaking the law.

They can date legally, but they cannot have sex.

If a 24 year old man wants to date a 16 year old girl then there is something wrong with the 24 year old man. They are at completely different times in their lives and should not have much in common.

Sorry Lorlei but you are NOT correct:

Minnesota

§ 609. 342 et seq.
First-degree criminal sexual conduct is sexual penetration with a victim under age 13 and an actor more than 36 months older.

Penalty: Up to 30 years in prison

Third-degree criminal sexual conduct is sexual penetration with (1) a victim under age 13 and an actor no more than 36 months older or (2) a victim age 13 to 16 and an actor more than 24 months older.

Penalty:
Up to 15 years in prison. But under the second part of the crime, if the actor is between 24 and 48 months older, up to five years in Prison

NO.....unless daddy likes you..but odds are he isn't going to like the idea of his 16 yo having sex with a 24 yo..He can file statutory rape charges on you and you will go to jail.
Where i live a 16 yo just took a deal to stay out of jail for the same thing but the girl was 14 and consenting - but daddy did not like the fact that the boy was black and of course she was white. so beware of little girls that will because most times daddy will care more.

I live in Minnesota and no it is not legal. Legal age i do believe is 17 in Minnesota if not 18. I know it use to be 17 and they were pushing to change it to 18.

No a 16 year old cannot be consenting. She is still a minor and as such is by law unable to consent.

When roses are red,
They're ready to pluck,
When girls are 16,
They're ready to kiss in Minnesota

Probably not, Most girls have to be 18 to have sex with anyone older, or that's called Statutory(sp?) Rape, and you can be arrested.

I don't know about legality but, on the disgusting level, that rates at the very top of being disgusting.
