how long will take to drive from my house to my mom's house, 5km away, the time can be calculated using my car's?

Simple. Use this formula:
Time= Distance ÷ Speed,

So if you are driving at 50Km/h, (look at the speedometer) assuming you drive at this speed constantly, time taken will be approx( 5 ÷ 50= 0.1hr=6minutes.)

thus, average speed is what you need to calculate time.

IS this a homework question or is this a serious query? Firstly, where does your mom live in relation to you? Will you travel by freeway at 90km or through city streets at 50km or by a school zone or playground zone at 30km.
You can likely calculate it most easily be choosing your route wisely and calculating your average speed over that distance.

mapquest.com enter in the 2 address and it will tell ya. besides i live in the US where we measure in miles so I have no idea how far 5km is.
