had to be at school when my parents bought my cloths.
- Knitted jumpers
- Cheapo cloth trainers that by dad tried to renew by using a felt tip pen
- un fashionable jeans
- A big blue duffle type coat with a detachable hood
ARRRGGGG !!!!!!!
No wonder I was picked on at school. Blast it, if I had a time machine, even I would go back and take the mick out of my younger self.

Mine are too numerous to list but I will tell you about my sister. She once had an afro perm two days before her childrens school concert. They were so horrified that they went out and bought her a hat.! she had the choice of wearing it or having her head shaved ! she wore the hat but they made sure that it was pulled well down so that none of her hair was showing.

There is a picture of me the night of my HS graduation, in 1975 (yes, I am that old) wearing a *gasp* tan liesure suit with a floral polyester shirt and big blue tinted aviator glasses.
Hell, I made Elton John look macho in that shot.

When i was about 13 or so, i will never forget the jumper that my gran had me knitted.... black with..... wait for it.........
Liquorice allsorts embroidered all over the front, sleeves and the back.....
Now that is a bad fashion statement if i ever knew one.....
i'm cringing.... yuk.....

a fluorescent green, pink and yellow rara skirt with jelly shoes and a matching scrunchie in a side pony, i was 5 and had no say in this. it was the first time i understood what SHAME was!!!
