Soviet Union entered the war on September 17, 1939.

Japan entered World War 2 because they needed to expand their empire in the Pacific, and wished to destroy the USN before it could intervene.

Women served in many ways, although usually not in direct combat. Clerks, WASPS, etc.

There was at least 1 Japanese 'Nisei' (second generation) unit in World War 2. They were the most decorated unit in the US Army.

Blacks also served in many units, especially the 'Flying Red Tails' an all-black USAF group.

Native americans served in various ways; the Navajos served as special signal technicians, their language as a code never broken by the Japanese.

When Germany took Poland, Germany planned the final resolution. Germany also wanted to take Latvia, Estonia, and I believe Ukraine also. That is why Stalin entered the war and spoke with Churchill and FDR at Teheran.

Japan, however, wanted to expand. USA wasn't in better mood when japan wanted Manchuria. Also, Japan had to get through the Philipines, which was under U.S. control. Therefore, Yamamoto, the thinker of the Pearl Harbor attempt, wanted the attempt to happen, which then made us attack Japan in Tarawa, Okinawa, Iwojima, Coral Sea, and Guadalcanal. To show American superiority, the Enola Gay bombed and incinerated Hiroshima.

The role of the Women during WWII was to work in making military equipment and vehicles.

The role of the blacks. There was a segregated Squadron in Tuskegee where blacks were trained and I think they were in the war too.

I don't know nothing of the Native Americans during WWII

If WWII started on Sept 1, 1939 with the invasion of Poland, the Soviets attacked at the same time. They soon took over the small states of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and those parts of Romania known as Bessarabia. The also got their noses bloodied by Finland. Therefore in answer to your questions, their entrance into WWII was based on nationalist expansion. Hitler's invasion of Russia in '41 just caused them to change sides.
