The most venomous creature on earth, is the humble, microscopic bacterium: *Clostridium botulinum*, which causes Botulism. One gram of pure botulinum toxin, (or "Botox",) is enough to kill half a million people or more.
A few grams of highly concentrated botox, if placed in the water supply of a small city, would almost certainly wipe out most of the population. (Of course, such highly pure toxin would pose a lethal hazard to anyone who tried to handle it.....)
fortunately, colonies of C. botulinum produce only very *tiny* amounts of this toxin, collectively (because they don't have to make much of it to be effective.) Meat or canned food that is contaminated with these bacteria can easily be neutralized by cooking.
In terms of actual raw killing ability, it's hard to say, but I'd probably have to go with the South American "poison-arrow" frogs of the genus *Phylobates.* Just *touching* one of these frogs with your bare hands, could easily kill you!
Second in line might be the "Inland Taipan" from Australia. One bite from this snake could probably kill 100-300 people. Luckily, the Taipan is very shy and gentle, and reluctant to bite large animals......
Hope that was informative...

It is hard to say which animal would get this prize. A poisonous animal carries harmful chemicals called toxins. Usually, these toxins are used for defense, and are stored in the skin or in special glands. Compare these creatures to venomous animals, which deliver their toxins by stinging, stabbing, or biting.
Poisonous creatures don't intend to hurt other creatures, which is why they have bright colors and markings that send a clear message: "Don't touch!" If a predator ignores that warning, he might not get a second chance. One swallow, or even a little taste testing, and it's all over. The toxin will stop the heart or lungs from working, and death will follow.
The poison arrow frog and certain salamanders would have to top most people's list of "The World's Most Poisonous Animals." Just two micrograms of toxin from the poison arrow frog is enough to kill a human. A "microgram" is a very small amount. If I were writing this and not typing it, then the ink in the period at the end of this sentence will weigh around six micrograms.
What about venomous animals? A good example of defense can be found in stonefish. They store their toxin in gruesome-looking spines that are designed to hurt would-be predators. This homely creature will win no beauty prize, but deserves honor and respect for being "The World's Most Venomous Fish."
Toxins also are designed to kill prey or, at least, slow them down. This is the tactic used by many snakes. The prize for "The World's Most Venomous Snake" goes to the inland taipan of Australia. But the top prize, "The World Most Venomous Animal," should go to the box jellyfish, which is found in the waters around Asia and Australia. They have long tentacles with stings at the very ends.
Hospitals often carry medicines that work against venom, but treatment has to be very fast to counteract the toxins of these creatures.

its hard to say because usually people assosiciate the most venemous or the most poisonous (two seperate things) animals with the amount of humans it can kill. going by this id say the sea wasp (box jellyfish) is the most venemous. it has enough venom to kill 60 adult humans....ooh!
the holotrichius innesi "Afrur" (an insect) is also VERY venemous. prolly worse than the sea wasp...

Unless you plan on going out into swamps, you don't have much to worry about. Eastern diamondbacks are the most dangerous and cottonmouths are the most numerous. There are other species of rattlesnakes and coral snakes as well. There are rare examples of exotic snake that escape so I would never pick up any snake. Alligators, manatees and birds are some of the famous Florida animals.

On land: The funnel web spider of Australia, fangs powerful enough to punch through a fingernail and very toxic.
Sea: The blue ring octopus. It appears to be a small, innocuous creature but its bite is full of neurotoxin.

I always thought the innocuous sounding puffer fish was the deadliest sea creature. It releases tetrodotoxin which kills very quickly and you only have to ingest a trace amount to die. The amount needed is very hard for pathologists to identify.
