NO, if you have an ISP, you can use AOell email and AIM without the crummy software that they put on your computer. It will run about 3-5% faster without it and you'll notice not as meany blue screens (AOL causes alot of 0x0000008e errors) . You can save money by just cancelling. Assuming you already have a way to get online, you dont need AOell.

Explorer isn't a provider, it is a browser that allows you to browse the internet once you have a connection. AOL sucks by the way. Find a better ISP and use Explorer. Even netzero is better than AOL

in the beginning...in case you cancel your DD on the monetary employer then make confident your no longer nevertheless in contract with AOL..... AOL will stop being your ISP yet, as anybody has mentioned, their are many different ISP accessible.... here, in England, if we would opt to alter our Broadband company then we would desire to get a MAC (migration authorisation code) from them. i do no longer understand if it particularly is an identical the place you're. besides, cancel your DD and tell AOL you have accomplished this..(bypass on line and use their 'stay help relatively than phoning them up). connect yet another broadband provider and then uninstall the AOL utility. Secondly..I even have been with AOL for over 4 years (albeit via making use of a DSL)and that i've got in no way had a undertaking with them(touch timber)....i continually use their on line 'stay help' to speak to them and that they address any issues rapidly away...i will't understand why people hate AOL..till it particularly is in simple terms crap interior the states....

Yes, as AOL is your internet service provider. Internet explorer is just software that you access the web with. They are two different things.

yes, internet explorer is only a software to access websites.
You still need a provider to allow you access to the internet.
