Graphics card+Vista?

I'm getting a Vista but I want to buy a graphics card. The DX10s are too expensive so I want a DX9 card. Will it be ok or do I need DX 10s?

It will work but if you have games that require dx10, you wont get the full benefit. Can you wait, or do you need it right now. More and more cards are released every week, that pushes the price down
