My Mom bought me and my sisters guitars the other day and I have been practicing. My goal is to learn to play "Daughters" by John Mayer...I just don't want it to take ten years. My older sister and I want to play it when she has her graduation party next year. I'm a beginner and am still learning all the chords. How long do you think it will take for me to get it down?

The more talent you have the quicker you will learn. You could practice and practice nevertheless if you don't have a good musical ear, it's going to take at least two years. For example, I know someone who taught Brian Setzer, of the 80s Rock band The Stray Cats, and Setzer learned everything in 3 months. He learned quickly.

Get the PlayStation2 video game "Guitar Hero" and you'll be a rock star guitarist as good as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page or Stevie Ray Vaughan in about a month
