why aren't there any hair salons in the library????

It would put libraries in a bind. Customers would be constantly paged. If the hair salons went bankrupt they could file chapter 11. Libraries are public not private, so there are restrictions on private businesses operating inside them. However, one of our local libraries has a concession in the lobby that sells coffee, juice, Italian soda and food such as bran muffins. I think the idea of offering food and drink sold by private businesses has merit. It is common in book stores such as borders. The noise from a hair salon would be a distraction. It would be shear madness. We don't need clip joints inside of our institutes of knowledge.

If there were hair salons in the library the books could get ruined from the chemicals that are used to color , straighten, perm, bleach, and whatever else is done to the hair to make it how a person wants it. Not to mention all the hair flying around from the hair cuts.

I thought knowledge was Level 5 and beauty was just a dumb way to call you smart~
