because i've heard that if you keep your bananas elevated from the counter top it takes them much longer to go brown... what is your opinion on banana hammocks...???

If u have enough counter space for it, sure go for it. I'm not really an expert in banana hammocks, but if u think it'll work then i think u should get one.=)

You can even get a hanging basket that is tiered and it makes it easier to put other fruits and veggies at easy access. They do last longer because it is natural for them to be hanging and the juices in them do not settle into the place having pressure applied where they over ripen.

A banana hammock will do you no good because you have no "banana" to put in it. If your boyfriend wishes for you to purchase one for him to wear because he thinks that they are "all the rage", then he may possibly by gay. If your boyfriend is in fact gay, then I would suggest hot pink.

Not a bad idea. I put them on the microwave in front of a window and they go brown quickly, even though I buy them green.
