these great soldiers have defended our shore,s for years and their reward? NOTHING! Oh Yes! I forgot we gave them medals,a great comfort when you are old and find life hard to fight for yourself, never mind somebody else. Although I noticed that the latest great old soldier to be cast aside still wears his with pride.
This great old gentleman should be welcomed back with open arms and all the politicians, all the royals and military big knobs made to get down on their knees in gratitude to welcome him.As we all know, he is not the first gurkha to be treat in this disgusting way it has gone on for years, I only hope that the Gurkhas and all their people know that it is the powers that be in our country that will not give them the recognition they deserve and not the grass roots of our country. I know it is no consolation to the Gurkhas but our own soldiers i.e. the ordinary squaddies are treated with the same contempt.
It makes you ashamed to be british.

These brave men from the Himalayas have thought through many years in our most vicious conflicts for our country
on the way winning many kinds of awards, medals plus
lots of richly deserved Victoria awards, our highest award.
I had the privileged to serve with gallant little warriors in
Malaya many years ago and still think we have a duty to now
protect them in there time of need.

A good point very well made, i too agree with your points. i cant believe that these brave soldiers which give the british army a loyal service are treated this way. Especially when you consider the amount of undeserving illegal immagrants there are, many after a free ride. In my mind they have more then earned the right.
Mind you i wouldnt want to come here if i was them our government will probably take the piss by taxing them too,the way this country is going at the moment beggers belief.. maybe a better option would be for our government to set them up with some kind of benevelent home or something back in thier own country then they wouldnt have to be taken advantage of anymore.

you are right in every thing you say and i suspect that 90% of British people would agree with you. but thats all they will do. if only the British had half the courage and loyalty of the ghurkhas.....were talking here of a government so treacherous and inflamed with greed that they are prepared to sell out Britain to a huge Nazi style federation. and a people so gutless that they wont even fight for their own country. so between the two sides the Gurkhas dont stand a chance realy. one side couldnt give a flying f*ck, and the outher side couldn be bothered to get off of their backsides if their @rse was on fire.

Totally agree with you. But it's not the country that's at fault, because people like you and I are the country. It's the stupid politicians who 'represent' us that make these appalling decisions.
I found 4 petitions at No 10 for the Gurkha's. Maybe we should all sign one of them or start another.

To win a Victoria Cross and still be denied a home in the country you fought for is a complete disgrace and totally indefensible.
This country owes a great debt to these brave men and the Ministers responsible for this decision should be ashamed.

Its disgusting how they have been treated, they volunteered and sacrificed their life's for our country and we treated them so badly, could not even give them a decent wage or pension !.
Before being shipped off to north Africa my grandad fought the Japanese alongside a regiment of Gurkha's and he said they were amongst the bravest people he had ever seen, and very ruthless too !!.

I totally agree, rapists, robbers and murderers who have absoloutely no connection with the UK are welcomed into our country with open arms, yet people who have fought and died for us have the door slammed in their face! Unbelievable!
